Local charities offering help

How does it Work?

1 - We get a request for help

It might be directly with us on our phone line, email, or an online request from our website. We also handle referrals from Eastleigh Borough Council who are passing on requests they think we can help with.

2 - Our co-ordinators try to match the perfect volunteer

We'll ideally match someone within walking distance of your local neighbourhood, and get in touch to see if they can help.

3 - Our volunteer receives the information they need to complete the request

They get in touch with the volunteer to see if they can help.

4 - The volunteer makes contact with the person requesting help

They'll agree exactly what they're going to do and how it will be done.

5 - We'll request feedback

From both the volunteer, and the person seeking help to understand how it went and how we can improve.

Frequently Asked Questions for Residents

Food parcels are provided by Hampshire County Council, you can call them on 0333 370 4000, or visit their website.

We offer assistance to those in need.  Contact us if you think we may be able to help you.

Give us a call or drop us an email with what you need and we’ll try to refer you to the relevant place.

Unfortunately we can’t provide these, you’ll need to contact Eastleigh Borough Council on 023 8068 8000, or email coronavirus-support@eastleigh.gov.uk.  We can help with delivering these to you if you are isolating.

We can give basic person to person advice just as your neighbour would.  For official advice on a wide range of topics we would recommend reaching out to Eastleigh Citizens Advice on 03444 111 306.

If you have recently lost someone, we would recommend Butterfly Bereavement who can offer free support, contact them on 02381 550066.

Frequently Asked Questions for Volunteers

Due to our rapid startup we haven’t yet sent out welcome communications.  We are contacting volunteers directly when we believe they can help other residents.

We will soon be sending out a news letter, and start sending a welcome email after registration.
